Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the quality and translation techniques of three different types of text, namely the sale and purchase agreement letter, the profile booklet of Madiun City, and the short story of „Banyuwangi‟. This research is a qualitative descriptive case study. The design of this research includes: (a) collecting the translation data, (b) assessing the quality of the translations by the rater, (c) analyzing the translations and the quality assessments by the researcher, and (d) drawing conclusions. The instruments of this research are assessment rubrics and content analysis.
