Abstract

The objectives of the research are (1) to obtain the information of how far the contribution of leadership to the teachers’ performance in SMKN 2 Pengasih; (2) to obtain the information of how far of the contribution of motivation to the teachers’ performance in SMKN 2 Pengasih; (3) to obtain the information of how far the leadership contribution and the headmaster’s motivation simultaneously to the teachers’ performance in SMK Negeri 2 Klaten. This research used correlative method with quantitative approach. The populations of the research were all of the teachers in SMKN 2 Pengasih. The samples of the research were 36 teachers in SMKN 2 Pengasih. The samples were taken by proportional sampling technique. The data were collected by closed questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS) program. The results of the research show that (1) the leadership of the headmaster contributes to the teachers’ performance in SMKN 2 Pengasih. In accordance with the equation which is resulted: Y=27,751+0,103X1 that if the leadership increases 0,379, so the teachers’ performance increases one point. It is showed by the value Fcount>Ftable (4,333>2,89) and the p level significant value is 0,045<0,05; (2) headmaster’s motivation contributes 0,453 with the contribution 25,6% to the teachers’ performance in SMKN 2 Pengasih. It is showed by Fcount>Ftable (11,682>2,89) and the p level significant value is 0,02<0,05. Based on the single equation is obtained Ŷ= 27,751 + 0,453X2 that if the motivation increases 0,661, so the teachers’ performance increases one point. (3) the leadership and motivation of the headmaster simultaneously contributes 0,556 with the contribution 26,4% to the teachers’ performance in SMKN 2 Pengasih. It is showed by the value of Fcount>Ftable (5,904>2,89) and the p level significant value is 0,006<0,05. Based on the multiple regression equation, it is obtained Ŷ = 27,751 + 0, 103X1 + 0,453X2 that if the leadership increases 0,103, so the teachers’ performance increases one point on the condition that the headmaster’s motivation is constant. As well when the headmaster’s motivation increases 0,453, the teachers’ performance increases one point on the condition the leadership is constant.
