Abstract

CORRELATION OF UNDERSTANDING MECHANICAL DRAWING SUBJECT AND CREATIVITY TO CAD PRACTICE ACHIEVEMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CLASS XI STUDENTS OF SMK N 2 DEPOK, SLEMAN, YOGYAKARTA by: TAUFIQ NOVARIAN ARDIANSYAH NIM. 10503241033 ABSTRACT This research aims to (1) Determine correlation between understanding mechanical drawings subject to CAD practice achievement of SMK N 2 Depok students (2) Determine correlation between creativity to CAD practice achievement of SMK N 2 Depok students (3) Determine correlation among understanding of mechanical drawing subject and creativity to CAD practice achievement of SMK N 2 Depok students. This research is ex-post facto correlation. The variables on this research are understanding mechanical drawings subject (X1), Creativity (X2) as independent variables and CAD practice achievement (Y) as the dependent variable. The research population are all students in class XI of Mechanical Engineering SMK N 2 Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta as many as 60 students. Collecting data used test methods and documentation. The data analysis technique used simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis techniques. The results of this research are (1) understanding mechanical drawings subject has positive and significant correlation on CAD practice achievement shown by rhitung value = 0.380 and thitung value higher than ttable 3.133> 1.671, determination coefficient is 0.145, which means understanding Mechanical Drawing Subject has the effect 14.5% on CAD Practice Achievement. (2) Creativity has positive and significant correlation on CAD Practice Achievement shown by rhitung value = 0.263 and thitung value higher than ttable 2.072> 1.671, coefficient of determination is 0.069, which means Creativity has effect of 6.9% on CAD Practice Achievement. (3) Understanding Mechanical Drawing Subjects and Creativity has a positive and significant correlation on CAD Practice Achievement, shown by rhitung value = 0.516 and Fhitung value higher than Ftable 10.349> 5.01, determination coefficient is 0.266, which means both of understanding Mechanical Drawing Subject and Creativity have effect 26.6% on CAD Practice Achievement.
