Abstract
Poverty is a global problem that faced by countries in the world, including Indonesia. In the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), poverty reduction is a serious concern. The poverty rate in Indonesia was down successfully from 9,66% in September 2018 to 9,22% in September 2019. This research will discuss about the analysis of district/city poverty rates in Indonesia using ordinal logistic regression method. Ordinal logistic regression is a regression analysis that used to analyze the relationship between categorical or continuous predictor variable and categorical response variable, using a proportional odds model. The analysis of the poverty rate in Indonesia in this research using data as many as 191 districts/cities from 15 provinces in Indonesia. The response variable that used is level of poverty which is divided into 3 categories, namely not poor (1), poor (2), and very poor (3). The predictor variables that used are literacy rate, dependency ratio, unemployment rate, cell phones assets, internet use, student-teacher ratio, average length of schooling, cooperative ratio, and farmers ratio.
