Abstract

This research aims to describe and classify the character value content in the student book curriculum 2013 and module from home subjects of Islamic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti (PAdB) class VII SMPLB intellectual disability, as well as the conformity of character value content with the principle of learning Intellectual Disability. This research used qualitative methods with a content analysis approach. The research sources was the student book curriculum 2013 subjects of PAdB class VII intellectual disability published by Kemdikbud in 2014 and the learning module from home compiled by PAdB teachers. The data was collected through document analysis sheets. Data analysis uses three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion draw. The results showed that: 1) the student book and learning module from home contained a content of five character values, namely religious, nationalist, independence, integrity, and mutual cooperation. But the content is not thorough in every chapter. The difference in the appearance of character values in student book is listed in learning materials and activities. While in the learning module from home is more dominant in learning materials. The form of character value that often appears in student book, namely: in the form of indicators of lifelong learners, faith, deliberation, and commitment to honesty. The form of character value that often appears in learning module from home: in the form of indicators of lifelong learners, faith, please help, deliberation, and discipline. 2) The conformity of character value content with the principle of intellectual disability learning is spread in each chapter of the book and module but not thoroughly. Conformity in student book is as much as 38%, while conformity in learning module from home is as much as 71%. Forms of conformity that often arise in the form of the use of sentences with easy to understand language and the presentation of images to make it easier for students to understand the material.
