Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine: (1) the effect of family circumstances on the nature of a students in responsibility, (2) the effect of the educational environment on the characteristics of responsible in students, (3) the effect of home environment on discipline in the implementation of school regulations, (4) the effect of the school environment on discipline in the implementation of school regulations, (5) the effect of home and school environment condition on the characteristic of responsibility in students, (6) The effect of family and school environment conditions on discipline in the implementation of school regulations. This was a quantitative research with the type of ex post facto research. The population in this research were all fifth graders of elementary school in Kotagede. The sampling technique was using a simple random sampling. Data collection technique was a psychological scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. There were 35 of the 39 statements in the Family Environment Condition variable (
