Abstract
ABSTRACT Teritorial disputes between Indonesia and Malaysia have been very frequent. With the potential of maritime power, both countries use the power of the maritime to affect territorial dispute, so it will increase the tension of the dispute. But with the potential of the maritime powers, would be very useful if it is used as a tool for profit. With the potential of the maritime forces will be very useful for both countries to promote maritime cooperation, especially in economic terms, rather than just promoting security in the maritime field, which even appear and increase conflict. This study aims to explore the potential and benefits of the maritime cooperation plan in the economic terms, between both countries if they can promote the cooperation. This research divided into some part, starting from to expose data of the resources on each countries,the information maritime cooperation in economic terms, and potential benefits of maritime economic cooperation, between the two countries. The results of this research will show how maritime cooperation can increase economic power for both countries and good potential for relations between the two countries in the future.
