This research employed both qualitative and quantitative method. The data were in the form of printed conversations as the speaking materials in English on Sky textbooks for Junior High School students class VII, VIII, and IX. The trustworthiness of the data was conducted through the triangulation by checking the data source, the method, and theories by the help of and two linguistics students as triangulators. The findings showed that (1) not all types and social factors of address terms appearing in the speaking materials due to the limited contexts provided, (2) the address terms existing in the speaking materials are not yet appropriate, because Title plus Last Name (TLN) is not applied appropriately, and (3) the speaking materials of English on Sky are inappropriate, since the address terms occurring there are not authentic based on the applications and the students’ needs upon the different situational uses of language in real life.
