Abstract

The type of this research is Research and Development (R & D). There were two aims of the research. First, it find out how the interactive English learning materials for Islamic elementary school students were characteristically represented. Second, it developed and produced the interactive English learning materials using Lectora Inspire Program. The development model used in this research was the model adapted and modified from Dick, Carrey, and Carrey (2001), and Lee and Owen (2004). The subjects of the research were seventy-seven students of class VA and VD of Muhammadiyah Condongcatur Elementary School in the academic year of 2014/ 2015. This research was carried out by employing questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative data technique. The findings of the research are: (1) the interactive English learning materials are characteristically represented by four integrated English language skills and sequenced components of Unit Tittle, Warming Up, Concept Map, Let’s Start, Password, Main Teaching Activities, Let’s Reflect, Let’s Summarize, and Vocabulary List, (2) the English learning materials developed by using Lectora Inspire Program are effective from the aspects of content quality, multimedia components, and design quality
