Abstract
The analysis of training needs is the basis for planning of the training activity. Therefore, the needs assessment must be made as the first priority activity in the planning process of the training. The training needs analysis is also a critical activity for the training and development function. Furthermore, the need assessment is an essential perquisite and play important role for any effective training program. This paper deals with the function and role of the needs orientation in occupational training. The paper will begin with an overview of the core concept of needs orientation as an important element for the success of the training activities, followed by process in the identifying of the need assessment.
