Abstract
SAVI (SOMATIC, AUDITORY, VISUAL, INTELLECTUAL) LEARNING APPROACH AS AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ POSITIVE ATTITUDE OF 11TH GRADE AUTOMOTIVE BODY REPAIR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT SMK N 2 DEPOK IN BODY ELECTRICAL LIGHTING SYSTEM SUBJECT By : Afri Yudantoko NIM. 10504241005 ABSTRACT This research aims to increase students’ positive attitude of 11th grade in automotive body repair engineering department SMK N 2 Depok in the electrical lighting system subject using SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) approach. This research belongs to Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was implemented in three cycles. Each cycle of this research using CAR procedures that include four stages as follows: (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting. The subjects in this research was 11th grade students majoring in automotive body repair engineering in the school year 2013/2014. The data was obtained through a questionnaire and observation sheets of students' positive attitude, and observation sheets of SAVI learning implementation. The results of this study shows the positive attitude improvement of 11th grade students majoring in automotive body repair engineering SMK N 2 Depok in body electrical lighting system subject. This is proven by positive attitude improvement of students cognitive aspects, that is 70.44% in the first cycle to 78.25% in the second cycle and 86.37% in the third cycle with which qualification quality percentage of students having positive attitude is considered "very high". Students’ positive attitude in terms of affective aspects increased from 68.81%, which is in the first cycle, to 75.37%, which is in the second cycle and 82.69% in the third cycle with which qualification quality percentage of students having positive attitude is considered "very high". Students’ positive attitude in terms of conative aspects increased from 68.44% in the first cycle to 75.44% in the second cycle and 83.75% in the third cycle with which qualification quality percentage of students having positive attitude is considered "very high". From all aspects, students’ positive attitude increased from 69.23% in the first cycle to 76.35% in the second cycle and 84.27% in the third cycle with which qualification quality percentage of students with positive attitude is considered "very high".
