Abstract

It seems that the Physical Education teachers for elementary schools in Bayat Klaten, Central Java find it hard in dealing with sports injuries during physical education lessons. This study intends in finding the level of knowledge on the Injury Prevention and Care aimed for the physical education teachers in elementary schools in Bayat, Klaten. This research was a descriptive quantitative research. The method used was a survey method with the data collection was based on question sheets. The population in this study was the physical education teachers at the elementary schools in Bayat with the total of 36 teachers. The samples were the entire population (saturated sampling), for about 36 physical education teachers for elementary schools in Bayat. The data analysis techniques were outlined in the form of percentage. The results show that the level of knowledge on Injury Prevention and Care of the physical education teachers in elementary schools in Bayat, Klaten is in several categories. There are 2 teachers who are in the category of "Very Good" or at 5.6%, 9 teachers are in the category of "Good" or at 25.0%, 17 teachers are in the category of "Moderate" or at 47.2%, 5 teachers are in the category of "Poor" or at 13.9%, and 3 teachers are in the category of "Very Poor" or at 8.3%.
