Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the counseling group rational emotive behavior on Decreasing bullying behavior in students Dagangan 1 Public High School. This research is a pre-experiment research using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of class X Dagangan 1 High School in Madiun as many as 192 students. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, so that the samples obtained in the experimental group were 6 students and samples in the control group were 6 students. Data collection is done using scale, interview, and observation. The data analysis technique uses Mann-Whitney Test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed that: counseling of the rational emotive behavior group was effective against bullying behavior of students in Dagangan 1 Public High School, as evidenced by the Zcount of -2,887 and p = 0,000<0.05. The bullying behavior of students in SMA Negeri 1 Dagangan only dropped slightly. This is evidenced by the average value of the experimental group pretest of 66.67 and the average posttest dropped of 32.67 after being treated with the rational emotive behavior approach.. Then the average value of the control group pretest of 65.50 and the posttest average dropped to 50.83. Thus the rational emotive behavior approach effectively on decreasing bullying behavior of students in SMA 1 Dagangan.
