Abstract

This study aimed to develope multimedia-based learning media for elementary-level Japanese language, test the performance of learning media, and to know the eligibility level of learning media. The result of this research is the product of multimedia-based learning media for elementary-level Japanese language that have been tested its performance and eligibility level. This study uses the development research approach (Research and Development). The stages in the research comprise analysis, design, development, implementation, and assessment. Initial testing was conducted by researcher with black box testing methods to find out the errors contained on the learning media. Validation was conducted to know eligibility level of the learning media. The study was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Purworejo involving 30 students who joined in Japan Study Club. The research instrument is using a questionnaire. The data analyzed by using descriptive statistics analysis. The result of the study showed that : (1) the quality of the developed learning media included in the category of very decent in terms of content and media, it is based on average assessment from matter experts amounted to 4.27 and from media experts amounted to 4.35. (2) the user's assessment of the developed learning media in terms of aspect of expediency, program display, and easiness in the implementation phase obtained average amounted to 4.18 and it included in the category of very decent.
