Abstract

This study aims to discover the achievements of the implementations of the School-Based Disaster Preparedness (SBDP) program in Sekolah Dasar Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul seen from the components of: (1) context: background and aims of the program (2) input: curriculum, human resources, facilities and infrastructure (3) process: types of activities and time of implementations (4) product: results of program implementations. This study is an evaluation research done by using the CIPP evaluation model proposed by Stufflebeam. The main informant of the study is the SBDP team leader and the supporting informants are members of the SBDP team, principals, deputy heads of students and curriculum, deputy heads of personnel, deputy head of facilities and infrastructure, deputy head of public relations and culture, teachers, employees, and students. The setting of this study is in Sekolah Dasar Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul. Data collection techniques are done by conducting interviews, observations, and studies of documents. Triangulation and sources analysis techniques are conducted to test the validity of the data. The data are analyzed using the model of Miles and Huberman. The study results show that the achievements of program implementations are as follows: (1) context: the background and the objectives of the program are justified as successful, because all of criterias are categorized as good. (2) Input: the curriculum of the program is in the sufficient category. Students, teachers and employees, and program organizers are categorized as good. The infrastructures of the program are in the good category and the program facilities are categorized as deficient. Hence, it can be concluded that the input component of the program are justified as quite successful, because four of criterias are in a good category. (3) Process: the types of activities and time of the program implementation are justified as quite successful, because all of criterias are categorized as sufficient. (4) Product: the results of program implementation are justified as quite successful, because there is still one standard indicator that has not been achieved.
