Abstract

The research aims to describe: (1) The planning and admission of special class students of Sewon 1 State Senior High School, (2) Orientation and coaching special class students of Sewon 1 State Senior High School (3) Evaluation of admissions and coaching of special class of Sewon 1 State Senior High School This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were sports class coordinators, school principals, counseling teachers and sports class trainers. Research location Sewon 1 State Senior High School. Data collection methods with interviews, observations and documentation studies. Test the validity of data with trianggulation and member check. The data analysis in this study used model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results of the study show the following: (1) acceptance of new students of sports classes carried out prior to regular class acceptance with the stages of registration, supply, selection and interest test of talent. Selections include national exam scores, exercise certificates, and sports physical ability tests. (2) The orientation of the student in the special sport class is the same as the regular class. The coaching student sports classes consist of the academic coaching and coaching talent of interest according to the sports branch. Academic coaching is applied similarly to the regular class of learning remedial. The training of talent for sport Adequation includes routine exercises, additional exercises, and mental coaching. Coaching is conducted by the trainer of every sports branch from Sewon 1 State Senior High School and coach recommendation from KONI. (3) Evaluation of the acceptance of new students of the sports class contains comparisons of the planning and implementation of combined reports with the acceptance of new regular-class students. The evaluation of coaching learners consists of academic coaching by the class guardian and counseling teachers every semester while evaluating the coaching interest of talent by the Sports class coordinator through the trainer of each sports branch every month.
