Abstract
This research aims to describe the implementation of the managerial competence of the principal of SMA Negeri 1 Depok, Sleman Regency. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. Informants in this study include principals, all vice principals, heads of administration, school treasurers and teachers. Research location in SMA Negeri 1 Depok. Data collection methods are interview, observation, and documentation study. Data analysis in this research using Miles, Huberman & Saldana model through data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion. Test the validity of the data by using source triangulation and methods. The results of the research indicate that there are 5 managerial competencies shown by the principal of SMA Negeri 1 Depok, namely (1) Optimizing the utilization of school resources, (2) Change management and organizational development, (3) School management, (4) Creating school culture and climate conducive and innovative, (5) Monitoring, evaluation and reporting of school program implementation.
