Interviews were conducted with the head of PKBM, class facilitators of Grade 1, 2, 3, and 5, children in grade 3 and 4, and parents. Observations were made by observing the planning activities and learning activities carried out by the facilitators, students, and parents. Documentation studies were carried out by reviewing at lesson plans and school documents. Data validity test were used source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques were included collecting categories, direct interpretation to form patterns, and develop generalizations. The results of this study indicated that Sanggar Anak Alam criticized and provided concrete action. The design of the learning process is carried out jointly between students, facilitators, and parents. Every child has a different learning process design. The learning method used is constructivist and critical. Teachers and parents become facilitators of children's learning. Children also become teachers for themselves. Research methods carry out the learning process. Students are looking for learning resources freely. All parties become active sources by carrying out a dialogical process and interaction with the learning process carried out by children. The learning process is carried out in a fun way by understanding every student's wish. Learning from Home is very dependent on technology and communication tools. However, with critical awareness that technology is not the main alternative because facilitators, students, and parents still apply social interaction in the learning process, namely direct communication. Alternative education during the pandemic defines online learning using a technology- determined approach. It remains with a touch of social determination. Therefore, the high intensity of technology use in the alternative education process does not lead to algorithmic learning.
