Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze students’ perception on online learning resources and provided facility in the learning process. The intended meaning is related to the experience, understanding, and critical evaluation that occurs in students towards online learning resources. Meanwhile, the facility of learning resources is limited to two learning platforms, namely E-Learning and social media YouTube. This research was conducted at Madiun 1st Senior High School using a virtual ethnographic method, which involved obtaining virtual data from several students and representatives of teachers at Madiun 1st Senior High School. The research data consisted of direct interviews with teacher representatives, virtual interviews with several students, questionnaires using google forms, and virtual observations by engaging in E-Learning platforms and YouTube. The data analysis technique employed was the principle of triangulation in which the researcher compares the facts from various sources with the results of his observations. The results showed that the overall meaning of students related to involvement, understanding, and critical evaluation was naive, where students as recipients tended to be passive. And the facilitation displayed on the e-learning platform is widely used as an evaluation tool, while the social media YouTube is used as an evaluation medium in the form of videos. To improve the quality of online learning, it is necessary to have a policy regarding the proportion between learning and evaluation activities, as well as standardization of material achievement Which was programmed for students’ abilities in terms of media facilitation and the level of difficulty of the material.
