Abstract

Previous research shows that the understanding of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model is that the syntax of the learning model does not bring up the apperception stage of the game rules and evaluation. This study seeks to answer these weaknesses by adding the apperception stage of the game's rules and evaluation. The addition of syntax is because the learning model is used for early childhood to adapt learning to appropriate learning for children. This study aims to: (1) produce a product in the form of a TGT type of cooperative learning model which is packaged in a guidebook that is suitable for use according to the instrument, material, and media experts to improve the ability to recognize number symbols for children aged 4-5 years; (2) testing the feasibility of the TGT type of cooperative learning model to improve the ability to recognize number symbols for children aged 4-5 years; and (3) testing the effectiveness of the TGT type of cooperative learning model for teachers to improve the ability to recognize number symbols for children aged 4-5 years. This study uses the ADDIE research type, which consists of five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study were children aged 4-5 years group A in RA Al Amanah, with 20 children. Data collection techniques used validation sheets, interview guidelines, teacher response questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis techniques to test the effectiveness of the product using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of 0.05. The syntax used in this research product is class presentations, teams, games, perceptions of the game rules, tournaments, team recognition, evaluation. The resulting product is suitable for use based on the validation results by the instructional experts who get results 26 ≤ 29 ≤ 32, material experts get results 85.75 ≤ 94 ≤ 100, and media experts get results 50 ≤ 70 ≤ 80. "Very worthy." The effectiveness test through the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained by Asymp.Sig (2 tailed) of .000, where the value is less than 0.005. This result shows that there is a difference between the pre-test and post-test results. This result means that the ability to recognize number symbols can be improved through the TGT type cooperative learning model which is packaged in a guidebook for teachers.
