Abstract

This study aims to know: (1) the level of readiness of early childhood teachers in facing online learning in the new normal era in Yogyakarta; (2) the factors and unprepared factors to face online learning in early childhood education in Yogyakarta. This study used quantitative approach with a research type of survey The population in this study were 137 early childhood teachers in Yogyakarta. Simple random sampling was the sampling technique employed in this study. The number of samples taken in this study were 137 teachers. The quistionnaire used in data collection hadbeen tested and proven its validity and reliability. The results of the study show that: (1) a. the level of physical readiness of teachers in facing the new normal era online learning in Yogyakarta is in the ready category, with a mean value but still needed more improvement; b. the level of experience readiness of teachers in facing the new normal era online learning in Yogyakarta is in the ready category, with a mean value 25,42 but still needed more improvement; c. the level of teacher’s facilities and infrastructure readiness of teachers in facing the new normal era online learning in Yogyakarta is in the ready category, with a mean value 28,46 but still needed more improvement; d. the level of financial readiness of teachers in facing the new normal era online learning in Yogyakarta is in the ready category, with a mean value 15,63 but still needed more improvement; e. the level of teacher’s learning readiness in facing the new normal era online learning in Yogyakarta is in the ready category, with a mean value 31,82 but still needed more improvement; f. the level of evaluation of teacher learning readiness in facing the new normal era online learning in Yogyakarta is in the ready category, with a mean value 11,62 but still needed more improvement; (2) Teacher readiness factors in facing the new normal era online learning in Yogyakarta such as physical, experience, facilities and infrastructure, financial, teacher’s learning and evaluation of teacher learning readiness are in the ready category, but still needed more improvement to be able to reach the very ready category in facing the online learning era of the new normal.
