Abstract

This study aims to produce an feasible website-assisted learning multimedia and to know the feasibility, practically, and effectiveness of website-assisted learning multimedia in increasing motivation and achievement in learning Mathematics of fifth grade students at Sokowaten Baru Elementary School, Yogyakarta. This was a research and development using Borg & Gall model. This model consisted of research and information collecting stages, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, implementation and dissemination. This research was conducted on fifth grade students at Sokowaten Baru Elementary School, Yogyakarta. The number of subjects in the preliminary field testing consisted of 9 students, the main field testing consisted of 30 students, and in the operational field testing consisted of 44 students. Data was collected using interviews, questionnaires, scales, and tests. Data analysis used were N Gain test, Independent Samples t Test, Paired Samples t Test, and MANOVA test. The results show that the website-assisted learning multimedia is feasible and practical to used based on the results of validation of material experts, media experts, teacher’s responses, and students’ responses. The results of the N Gain test show that there is an increase in motivation and achievement in learning Mathematics in the experimental group (higher than the control group). Then the results of the Independent Samples t Test, Paired Samples t Test, and MANOVA test obtain a significance value of <0.05. These results indicate that website-assisted learning multimedia is effective in increasing motivation and achievement in learning Mathematics of fifth grade students at Sokowaten Baru Elementary School, Yogyakarta.
