Abstract

This research aimed: (1) to produce the flashcards careers as a media for introducing careers in Kindergarten education unit and (2) to produce a proper flashcards careers as a media for introducing careers in Kindergarten education unit. The type of this research was Research and Development (R&D) by Borg and Gall, which is carried out in seven stages : research and information collection, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, and final product. This research was conducted in Palm Kids Kindergarten Yogyakarta. The subjects of this research were 3 (three) kindergarten teachers for the preliminary field testing and for the main field testing, there were 5 (five) kindergarten teachers. The data were collected by using the assessment questionnaire from the medium experts, material experts, and kindergarten teachers. The data, then, were analyzed in quantitatively using the assessment questionnaire from the medium experts, material experts, and kindergarten teachers and qualitatively to determaine the feasibility of the product based on the validation from the medium experts, material experts, and kindergarten teachers as practical. The research finding indicated that a proper flashcards careers as a media for introducing careers in kindergarten education unit had been developed and examined. This flashcards careers that had been developed was categorized as a proper media for introducing careers in kindergarten education unit. The eligibility of flashcards careers as a media for introducing careers kindergarten education unit revealed several findings: Material experts obtained 83.75% with the "very good" category and the Media experts were gained 100% with the "very good" category. Meanwhile, the main preliminary field testing gained 88.95% with the "very good" category. The main field testing obtained a percentage of 93% with the category "very good". Based on the results obtained from medium experts, material experts, and kindergarten teachers, it can be conclude that the flashcards careers were proper to be utilized as a media for introducing careers in kindergarten education unit.
