Abstract
This research aims to develop an alternative valid website-based social anxiety measurement instrument for social media users for individual counseling. This research and development (R&D) used the ADDIE model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. It was conducted at 3 Muhammadiyah high schools in Yogyakarta City. It used a purposive sampling techniqu. The product of this research is an instrument that functions to measure the level of social anxiety of social media users. This product has passed the face, content, and construct validation. The content validity of the instrument was calculated using the Aiken V formula. The construct validity analysis used exploratory factor analysis. The reliability of the product was tested using the Cronbach's Alpha and analyzed with SPSS version 25 for windows. The results showed that the developed website-based instrument to measure social anxiety of social media users obtained face validity of 87.22% with good criteria. Then, the content validity obtained a value of higher than the critical number of 0.76 with good category and is suitable for use. Next, the construct validity was obtained from 3 factors consisting of 32 items. The reliability of the instrument showed a value of 0.801. Thus, it can be concluded that the developed website-based instrument to measure the social anxiety of social media users is feasible for use.
