Abstract
This study aims to develop a need assessment instrument on career guidance of classical guidance services for the students of SMA Negeri (State Senior High Schools) in Gondokusuman Sub-District. This instrument of need assessment serves to find out topics for classical guidance services for students, especially in the career field This study was a development research using Saifuddin Azwar’s instrument development model. First, the data collection was carried out using an assessment questionnaire of need assessment. Next, the analysis of the face validity of the instrument was carried out sing quantitative and qualitative methods. The validity of the product involved two experts and three practitioners. The analysis of content validity with Aiken formula. The construct validity used exploratory factor analysis SPPS version 25 for windows. The results show that the instrument of need assessment of career guidance for classical guidance services for students of SMA Negeri in Gondokusuman Sub-Distric, which has a face validity of 0.84 which is in good criteria. Furthermore, the content validity is 0.81. The construct validity obtains 8 factor consisting of 84 items and the reliability is 0.974. Thus, it can be concluded that the need assessment instrument of career guidance for classical guidance services for students is feasible to use.
