Abstract

The purpose of this study were to: (1) analyze the production and development needs of Classical Guidance Media as a media video needed by school counselors, (2) produce and develop video Itsar as Classical Guidance Media to increase prosocial behavior in students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Belitung, (3) produce video Itsar which was suitable to be utilized as media in classical guidance to increase prosocial behavior in class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Belitung. This research used method research and development (Research and Development). Development model used a model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Research and development were conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Tanjungpandan. Subject alpha testing were tested by two experts. The first master was an expert of the material in the field of Guidance and counseling. The second expert was an expert in the field of media guidance and counseling. The beta testing subjects were tested by two Guidance and Counseling practitioners field from SMA Negeri 1 Belitung. Data sources consisted of to quantitative and qualitative data. The assessment instrument included a feasibility assessment questionnaire and a scale of prosocial behavior. The data analysis technique in this research were descriptive quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data analysis consisted of the average score obtained from experts and field practitioners. The final result of the percentage of quantitative data is converted into a description of qualitative feasibility The results of this research indicated that: (1). The Itsar video media was significant to be utilized as a classical guidance media for improving prosocial behavior in students, (2). The assessment from material expert obtained as many as 93,3 % and categorized as “very good” in terms of qualification, with “very feasible” description. (3). The assessment by media experts gained a score of 86.1% which was classified as "very good" with a description of "very feasible". The assessment by the two field practitioners (guidance and counseling teachers) obtained a score of 93.0% and classified as the "very good" qualification with the "very feasible" description.
