Abstract

This study aimed to produce an application of Android-based intervention model (RIDE) to develop the religious identity status of late adolescent that met the appropriate and effective criteria. This study used a research and development approach with 4D (Four D) model. This research and development procedure included four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted at Yogyakarta State University. The research subjects involved in this study were a material expert, a media expert, 10 late adolescents for limited trial respondents and 30 late adolescents as extended field test respondents. The data collection techniques used material expert and media expert validation sheets and student evaluation sheets. The data analysis techniques to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of RIDE applications used quantitative descriptive techniques with the categorization approach. The results of research and development of RIDE applications indicated that RIDE applications met the very feasible criteria of the material experts, media experts and limited trial respondents. The feasibility study done by the material experts resulted in a score of 90.5% which was in the "Very Feasible" category, from the media experts a score of 92.63% which was in the "Very Feasible" category and from the limited trial respondents obtained a score of 80.9% which is in the "Very Feasible" category. The RIDE application was also effective in developing the religious identity status of late adolescent on the expanded field test subjects. An increase of the religious identity status of late adolescent was seen in the category of achievement of religious identity status, which was from 23.33% to 80%. Other findings in this study were that the order of the most influential microsystem layers in the efforts to develop the religious identity status of late adolescent were (1) the environment of worship/community, (2) peers, (3) family/parents, and (4) the media. Thus, this research and development shows that the RIDE application was feasible and effective in developing the religious identity status of late adolescents in achievement.
