Abstract

The researchers aims to develop a measure of self-disclosure, to help the counselor make students classification, and help the students face their developing tasks. Furthermore, the developing carried out and expecting to be the starting point for developing of the scale of openness. This research is a developing scale of self-disclosure instrument. The subjects are 304 students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Sleman. The development of instrument Validation about the content was done by expert and using the Lisrel 8.50 application for Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The estimate reliability method used estimation of construct reliability developed by Mc Donald. The development results produced 20 items that considered to represent the self-disclosure variables. Based on the analysis, 20 items had significant coefficient values correlation to self-disclosure aspects. Based on the calculation of reliability estimates, 20 items more than 0.7 that are considered the requirements. Overall, self-disclosure scale by researchers can be stated according to the theory.
