Abstract

The objectives of this study include 1) Knowing the feasibility of the learning instruments for team games tournament learning model based on socio scientific issues to growing mutual cooperation and student responsibility in distance learning physics and 2) Knowing the effectiveness of the learning instruments for team games tournament learning model based on socio scientific issues for growing mutual cooperation and responsibility of students in distance learning physics. The research method used is Research and Development (R and D) with a 4-D Models approach. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Class XI MIPA 1 was used in limited trials, XI MIPA 2 and 3 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 4 as the control class. The field trial design used was Quasi-Experimental Design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design approach. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling for the selection of experimental and control classes. The data analysis technique used is one-way multivariate analysis of variance (one-way MANOVA). The results of this study include 1) Learning Instrument of learning model team games tournament based on social scientific issues is declared feasible to growing an attitude of mutual cooperation and the responsibility of students in distance learning physics. This is based on the results of the average score with a range of 87.50%-100% for the assessment and the Aiken Validation index of 0.75-1 which is in the moderate to very valid category. The results are in the range of 74.21%-81.75% for the limited trial by students and 2) Learning instrument of learning model team games tournaments based on socio scientific issues have not been effective in fostering the attitude of mutual cooperation and responsibility of students in distance learning physics. This is based on the results of the Manova Test which showed insignificant results between the experimental and control classes for social attitudes of mutual cooperation and responsibility. Key Words: Learning Instrument, a socio-scientific based tournament team game learning model, distance learning physics, mutual cooperation social attitudes, and social responsibility social attitudes.
