Abstract
The purpose of this research is addressing the greeting in the novel DoktorWulandari by Yunani. The type of this research was a descriptive research.The data of this researchwere the greeting words and phrases in the novel DokterWulandari by Yunani. The data were collected by means of reading and writing. The data were also validated using the validity of triangulation theory and the validity of contextual semantics.Furthermore, the reliability used was reliability stability. The result of this research were the types of greeting, and the functions of greeting that form of words and phrases in the novel DokterWulandari by Yunani.
