Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa semester akhir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Penelitian dilakukan di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester akhir Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan angkatan 2015 dengan populasi sebanyak 711 mahasiswa dan sampel berjumlah 178 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode kuesioner. Adapun instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala kepercayaan diri dan skala kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas isi dengan expert judgement, sedangkan reliabilitas dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach dengan nilai koefisien α 0,889 pada skala kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja dan α 0,869 pada skala kepercayaan diri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa semester akhir dengan nilai p (0,000) < 0,05. Kata kunci: kepercayaan diri, kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja, mahasiswa semester akhir The purpose of this study is to know the effect of self-confidence towards anxiety in facing the working world on the upper degree students. A quantitative approach was used with ex post facto as the type of research. This study was conducted in Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University. The subjects of this study were upper degree students in Faculty of Education with the population in this study were 711 students and subjects in this study were 178 students. Data were collected by questionnaire method. Data collection techniques used in this study were self-confidence scale and anxiety in facing the working world scale. In this study, the validity test of the instrument using content validity by expert judgement, the reliability is calculated using the Alpha Cronbach with coefficient value of α is 0,889 on anxiety in facing the working world scale, and α 0,869 on self- confidence scale. Simple regression analysis is used for data analysis. The result of this study shows that self-confidence has effect towards anxiety in facing the working world with a value of p (0,000) < 0,05.
