Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil survei yang dilakukan peneliti, ditemukan bahwa terdapat kecenderungan karyawan untuk lebih bergantung pada faktor-faktor organisasi dalam menciptakan komitmen organisasi, sehingga kurang memperhatikan serta mengoptimalkan faktor-faktor pribadi termasuk psychological well being. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh psychological well being terhadap komitmen organisasi karyawan Hotel Crystal Lotus Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah sebuah penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan termasuk penelitian ex-post facto. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan Hotel Crystal Lotus Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 72 karyawan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala komitmen organisasi dan skala psychological well being. Hasil seleksi item menunjukkan bahwa angka korelasi item total berkisar antara 0,267-0,673. Hasil uji reliabilitas komitmen afektif adalah sebesar 0,794, komitmen berkesinambungan sebesar 0,526, komitmen normatif sebesar 0,755, dan psychological well being sebesar 0,917. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi sederhana, ditemukan bahwa: (1) psychological well being berpengaruh terhadap komitmen afektif, dengan nilai r=0,532 dan R2= 28,3%, (2) psychological well being berpengaruh terhadap komitmen berkesinambungan dengan nilai r=0,017 dan R2= 0,0289%, (3) dan terakhir psychological well being berpengaruh terhadap komitmen normatif dengan nilai r=0,120 dan R2= 1,5%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa psychological well being dapat mempengaruhi komitmen afektif, komitmen berkesinambungan, dan komitmen normatif. Kata kunci: komitmen organisasi, psychological well being. Based on the result of a survey which was conducted by researcher, it was found that there was a tendency for employees to be more depended on organizational factors in creating organizational commitment, therefore they paid a little attention and did not optimize the personal factors including psychological well being. Therefore, this research aimed to know the effect of psychological well being on organizational commitment of Crystal Lotus Hotel Yogyakarta’s employees. This research used quantitative approach and included ex-post facto research. Subjects in this research were employees of Crystal Lotus Hotel Yogyakarta which amounted 72 employees. Instruments used in this study were organizational commitment scale and psychological well being scale. The result of selection item test showed that the total item correlation values were about 0,267-0,673. The result for affective commitment’s reliability test is 0,794, 0,526 for continuance commitment, 0,755 for normative commitment, and 0,917 for psychological well being. Based on regression anlysis test, it was found that: (1) psychological well being had effect on affective commitment with r= 0,532 and R2= 0,283, (2) psychological well being had effect on continuance commitment with r= 0,017 and R2= 0,000289, (3) and the last psychological well being had effect on normative commitment with r= 0,120 and R2= 0,015. Therefore, it could be conclude that psychological well being could affect affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment.
