Abstract
As one important aspect in education, multimedia certainly already signed to the sphere of learning. In line with this, teachers are required to have competency in the making multimedia-based learning media. In this regard, researchers conducted the research that aims to determine the ability of teachers in the making multimedia-based learning media. This research is ex-post facto by purposive sampling technique sampling. Respondents in this study were teachers of 3 courses of Teknik Audio Video 2 people, Teknik Geologi Pertambangan 4 people and Teknik Komputer Jaringan 3 people. Sources of research data is a multimedia learning media products made by the respondent with Microsoft PowerPoint software. Assessment criteria refer to the standard criteria developed by the Human Resources of Concordia University, the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and Nancy Clark with a license SCLinks. The results showed that the ability of teachers in making of multimedia-based learning media in SMK N 2 Depok Sleman 2010/2011 academic year varies from Novice, Skilled, and Experts. Percentage of each level is Novice at 11% of the total respondents, Skilled level at 33% of the total respondents, and Experts at 56% of the total respondents. Ability is not evenly distributed, with the dominance of high ability / proficient (Experts) in Teknik Komputer Jaringan course.
