Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) What type of Internet use in school activities conducted by teachers, students, and employees Sedayu Yogyakarta SMK N 1, 2) whether the Internet is provided by the school is useful for teachers, students, and employees SMK N 1 Sedayu Yogyakarta, 3) whether the Internet is provided by the school has been used well by teachers, students, and employees of SMK N 1 Sedayu Yogyakarta. This study is a survey research with quantitative approach. The population in this study were all teachers, students, and employees of SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu Yogyakarta, amounting to a total of 1283 people, while the study sample of 321 respondents was taken. Research data collection methods for the identification of Internet use in schools by teachers, students, and employees SMK N 1 Sedayu Yogyakarta using a questionnaire with a scale model of a closed questionnaire linkert. The validity of research instruments performed by analysis of the items calculated by the formula Product moment correlation. Instrument reliability Cronbach Alpha was calculated using the formula. Data analysis techniques is the calculation of the coefficient of variance is used to determine the spread of data. While the presentation of data using tables and histogram (bar chart). The results obtained are: (1) Teachers, students, and employees use the Internet at school to find information (98%), communicating with others (69%), entertainment (64%), activities of buying and selling of goods (60% ), and for the activities of downloading and uploading files (59%). (2) already use the Internet at school by teachers, students and employees SMK N 1 Sedayu. For teachers, the Internet in schools is very useful to assist the delivery of the material in class (97%), broaden your horizons (95%), leisure (82%), and is useful for updating course material (61%). For students, the internet in schools is often used to clarify the subject matter (95%), add insight (88%), adding to record lessons (79%), and used to fill the recess (68%). As for employees, the internet at school is often used to help complete the job (100%), improved morale and work motivation (100%), reducing work fatigue (88%), and to broaden the horizon of knowledge (88%). (3) School facilities frequented by teachers to surf is in the office (93%). While the school facilities that often are visited by students (79%) and employees (87%) were in the school library.
