Abstract

One of the crucial problems in national education system is the moral problem. There is evidence that indicates moral crisis in students. For example, some students have to do national examination in jail because they commit crime. In this situation, educational institution fails in preparing a morally good graduate. To solve this problem, I think, the competency based instruction with moral vision can be applied by teachers in implementing the formal curriculum. The reason is that if teachers use this instructional model, they can facilitate students to actualize each domain in the competency formulation and students can simultaneously do moral action relevant with it. Teachers can develop this instructional model in three stages: first, introduction, second, implementation, and third, evaluation. Each stage has improved a morally good student based on the competency formulation. This model instruction has implication for school institution, parents, and students.
