Abstract
DEVELOPING LEARNING MEDIA IN THE FORM OF FLASH MACROMEDIA FOR THE MAKING OF CLOTHING ACCESSORIES USING THE RIBBON EMBROIDERY TECHNIQUE IN SMK PIUS X MAGELANG By Chytra Mahanani NIM 09513244003 ABSTRACT This study aims to: 1) develop learning media capable of explaining the steps of making ribbon embroidery through the flash macromedia program using the ADDIE development model, 2) obtain learning media using flash macromedia appropriate to use, and 3) investigate the students’ responses to the use of the learning media for making clothing accessories using ribbon embroidery. The study was conducted in SMK Pius X Magelang in April 2013 and was a research and development (R & D) study using the ADDIE development model. The stages in the study consisted of: (1) the analysis stage, (2) the planning stage, (3) the product development stage, (4) the implementation tryout stage, and (5) the evaluation stage. The research instrument validity and reliability were assessed through expert judgment by 3 material experts and 2 media experts. The tryout involved 10 students and the results showed that 2 instrument items were invalid and 30 were valid; the responses to the media were obtained from 40 Grade X students of Fashion Design. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and a questionnaire. They were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics. The result of the research and development is learning media for the making of ribbon embroidery accessories for clothing in the form of flash macromedia developed through R & D using the ADDIE model. 1) The result of the construction is Developing Learning Media In The Form Of Flash Macromedia For The Making Of Clothing Accessories Using The Ribbon Embroidery Technique In Smk Pius X Magelang using the ADDIE development model. 2) The flash macromedia for the learning of the making of clothing ribbon embroidery accessories in SMK Pius X is very appropriate (53.8%). 3) Based on the students’ responses, the multimedia is very appropriate with a percentage of 48.6%. From the results, the developed learning multimedia for the making of ribbon embroidery is very appropriate and the students strongly agree if the multimedia media is used in the learning of the making ribbon embroidery in SMK Pius X Magelang.
