Abstract

THE ROLES OF THE INTENSITY OF VISITING LIBRARY AND THE STUDENTS’ LEARNING INTEREST TO THE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE GRADE X ARCHITECTURE ENGINEERING PROGRAM STUDENTS OF SMK NEGERI 2 YOGYAKARTA Oleh: Novita Dhian Utami NIM. 11505241004 ABSTRACT The objectives of the research were to find out the roles of: (1) the intensity of visiting library to the learning achievements of the Grade X AEP students of SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta, (2) the students’ learning interest to the learning achievements of the Grade X AEP students of SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta, (3) the intensity of visiting library and the students’ learning interest to the learning achievements of the Grade X AEP students of SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The research was ex-post facto research. The population of the research was the Grade X AEP students of SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. Population 93 students and the samples 74 students that were counted based on the Isaac and Michael Table. The data were collected by using questionnaire and documentation. The data were analyzed by multiple regression analysis. The results of the research were: (1) the intensity of visiting library of the Grade X AEP students of SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta were low category (46,44), (2) the learning interest of the Grade X AEP students of SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta were high category (62,61), (3) the learning achievement of the Grade X AEP students of SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta were high category (71,09), (4) there were positive and significance roles between the intensity of visiting library to the students’ learning achievements (p < 0.05) and the coefficient was 42,73%, (5) there were positive and significance roles between the students’ learning interest to the students’ learning achievements (p < 0.05) and the coefficient was 17,87%, (6) there were positive and significance roles between the intensity of the students’ visiting library and the students’ learning interest to the students’ learning achievements (p <0.05) and the coefficient was 60,60%. Key words: the intensity of visiting library, the learning interest, and the learning achievement.
