Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF DIRECT INSTRUCTION LEARNING TEACHING MODEL FOR IMPROVING LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN MEASSURING TOOLS LESSON STUDENTS IN CLASS X TEKNIK KENDARAAN RINGAN SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 MOYUDAN By: LUQMAN PRAMANA SUDIBYA NIM. 10504247013 ABSTRACT The study aim to identify and describe the improvement of learning achievement using a measuring tools in 10th grade automotive class in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan academic year 2012/2013 through implementation of the Direct Instruction Teaching Learning Model (DIT). The research was a classroom action research that using Direct Instruction Teaching (DIT) learning model in learning process. The study aims was to increase the achievement of 35 student of 10th C automotive class in using a measuring tools. Examined aspects included the implementation learning model steps, and all aspects of Direct Instruction Teaching which implemented in 4 cycles on measuring tools study. The result was included students learning activeness and capability test. Learning activity data collection techniques directly collected by the observer and students cognitive capabilities data collected through objective questions post tests.The study data were descriptively analyzed by percentage. The study result shows that the activity and student achievement was increased in each cycle. The result can be seen in the pre-cycle, based of minimum passing grade rate was 11.4%, and an average result was 5.5. In the first cycle percentages of minimum graduation was 17.14% and an average result was 5.6. In the second cycle percentages of minimum graduation was 42.86% and an average result was 6.4. The third cycle percentages of minimum graduation was 57.14% and the average result was 7.7. Then in the fourth cycle percentages of minimum graduation was 85.7% and an average result was 7.3.
