Abstract

THE IMPROVEMENT OF ACHIEVEMENT LEARNING THROUGH STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS (STAD) TYPE OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL ON TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES MEASUREMENT TRAINING LESSONS COMPETENCY STANDARDS USING THE MEASURING TOOLS TPBO X GRADE STUDENT OF SMK N 2 DEPOK SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA By : Agus Aryadi 10504241006 ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to determine the increasing of student achievement learning after implementation type of cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) on tools and techniques measurement training lessons competency standards using the measuring tools TPBO X Grade student of SMK N 2 Depok Sleman Yogyakarta. This research that carried out is kind of Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects were students as many as 32 individuals on the X Grade TPBO SMK N 2 Depok Sleman Yogyakarta academic year of 2013/2014. The implementation of STAD-type of cooperative learning model consist of five main stages, which are class presentations, teams study, quizzes, individually progress scores, group recognition. The data is analized by descriptive techniques that students average value and the percentage of completeness. Criteria for success of the study pegged 81% (very good). The result showed that the implementation of STAD-type of cooperative learning model can improve the student’s achievement learning. It can be seen the student’s average value and student’s percentage of completeness. In first cycle, the student’s average value is 75 with 47% the percentage completeness; the second cycle the student’s average value is 77.50 (2.50 increase) with the percentage of completeness 62.50% (15.50% increase); third cycle of the student’s average value is 84.84 (7.34 increase) with percentage of completeness 87.50% (25% increases).
