Abstract
EFFECT OF SELF-CONCEPT AND FAMILY ENVIRONMENT INTERESTS OF STUDENT LEARNING LIGHTWEIGHT VEHICLE ENGINEERING STUDY IN SMK PIRI 1 YOGYAKARTA By: NUGROHO PRIHANTORO 08504244038 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is influence of selfconcept and family environment of student interest Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Program at SMK Piri 1 Yogyakarta. In addition, to determine how much influence of each variable on student interest. This research is ex post facto, use the sampling technique Proportional random sampling, the study population was all students in classes X Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Program at SMK Piri 1 Yogyakarta, amounting to 124 students, and is taken for the study subjects was 98 students. Self-concept data collection, Family Environment, and Interest in Learning conducted by questionnaire. Test instrument made by some students of class X subjects who did not participate in the study along with class XI and analyzed using validity and test reliabelitas. Test requirements analysis using normality test and linearity test. Data analysis techniques are used to test the hypothesis was test-F. Analysis determined the significance level of 5%. Based on this research can be concluded as follows: (1) There is the influence of self-concept and family environment on student interest Lightweight Vehicle Engineering courses at SMK Piri 1 Yogyakarta was 28.6%. This is evidenced by the significant value is less than the significance level of 5% (0.000 <0.05) and the calculated F value is greater than the F table (19.050> 3,09). (2) There is the influence of self-concept on student interest Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Program SMK PIRI I Yogyakarta. This is evidenced by the significant value is less than the significance level of 5% (0.005 <0.05) and the value of t is greater than t table (2.887> 1.980). and the positive value of the regression coefficient 0.512. (3) There is the influence of family environment on student interest Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Program SMK PIRI I Yogyakarta. This is evidenced by the significant value is less than the significance level of 5% (0.000 <0.05) and the value of t is greater than t table (4.807> 1.980). and the positive value of the regression coefficient 0.315. The contribution of the concept of self and family environment on student interest Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Program SMK PIRI I Yogyakarta can be seen from the coefficient of determination of 28.6%, and the remaining 71.4% influenced by other factors that were not studied. The effective contribution of the self-concept variables and by 8.6% and by 20.1% family environment. Keywords: Self-Concept, Environmental Family, Learning Interests
