Abstract

Abstract This research aims to reveal: participants qualification, implementation and field work profile for vocational school graduates in mechanical engineering studies in foundry, machining, and metal plate processing in apprenticeship program to Japan, coorporation between ministry of manpower and transmigration republic of Indonesia and IM Japan. This research is a qualitative research. Collecting data using some techniques: researcher as research instrument, observations, interviews, field notes, documentation, questionnaires and interview. Fixed comparison method was used as data analysis model. The results of this research is a description about high interest from vocational school graduates in apprenticeship program to Japan, qualification of participants, barriers experienced by participants, implementation of apprenticeship program to Japan in Indonesia and in Japan, profile of field work in foundry, machining, and metal plate processing.
