Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning achievement of manual arc welding practices and career guidance individually or jointly on the students’ entrepreneurship interest. This type of research was ex post facto study. The samples were students of Grade X of Mechanical Machining Skills Program of Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used was: a) documentation and b) questionnaires. The hypothesis testing was using product moment correlation and multiple correlation with computer program of SPSS version 20. The results showed that (1) There was a significant positive relationship between learning achievement and arc manual welding practices with the entrepreneurship interest at a significance level of 5% with a correlation coefficient of rx1y 0.658, (2) There was a significant positive relationship between career guidance and entrepreneurship interest at a significance level of 5% with a correlation coefficient of 0.488 rx2y, (3) There was a significant positive relationship between learning achievement and manual arc welding practices and career guidance with entrepreneurship interest at the 5% significance level with a correlation coefficient Ry.x1x2 of 0.755.
