Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to know the contribution of work interest and career guidance to the readiness to entering the word of work. The population of this ex-post facto study were 61 students of XI grade of Machining Technique SMK N 2 Pengasih. Sampel is equal to the population. Data were analyzed with simple and multiple regression. The result of this study shows that positive and significant contribution of work interest and career guidance to the readiness of working, with the regression equation Y= 36,84 + 0,36X1 + 0,22X2. This indicates that any increase of the work interest (X1) by one unit then the working readiness (Y) increased 0,36 by assuming X2 fixed. Furthermore, if the career guidance (X2) increase by one unit then the score of working readiness (Y) increase 0,22 by assuming X1 fixed. It could be concluded that the higher achievement level of work interest and career guidance, the higher the students’ working readiness.
