Abstract

Learning process on Sociology of Sport had not achieved an adequate result yet. There were some probalities that were the causes. Some of them had been identified such as inability of the students to learn it and non-transformable teaching method. Therefore, developing teaching learning process by refering to the new inventions about teaching learning and method had been needed. This research aims to develop the learning quality of Sociology of Sport by applying recent method on learning. They are quantum learning and quantum teaching. Second years Students of Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) were involved in this research. They were students who took Sociology of Sport course in the academic year 1003/2004. Classroom action research. Was the kind of research we used. Questionnaire and focus Group Discussion were employed to collect the data. This research also concerned with the seconded information such as mid term/final examination, learning style test, and the other possible data. The result revelated that students had attentions, involvement, and good appreciation towards the course. Additionally, this research had improved the achievement of student's learning competencies that were showed by the increasing of their marks. Kata kunci: pembelajaran sasiologi, olahraga, quantum learning, quantum teaching.
