Abstract
This survey aims to investigate the implementation of Physical Education (PE) in ten favourite elementary schools in Yogyakarta. Questionnaires were distributed to 23 PE teachers and 128 students to find information concernin; teaching materials, teaching methods, facilities, and assessment. The results show that PE was offered once a week and taught by competent teachers. It focused not only on developing physical health, but also on developing sport skills and techniques. Students' positive attitudes toward. PE are expected to result in their positive appreciation to PE as that to other subjects. Keywords: physical education, favorite elementary schools
