Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out (1) the implementation of the Industrial Work Practices implementation, implementation of Career Guidance and Job Readiness of students in grade XII focus of expertise building construction technology, SMK N 3 yogyakarta, (2) the determination of the role of industrial work practices on the job readiness, (3) the determination of the role of career guidance on the job readiness, and (4) the determination of the role of industrial work practices and career guidance on the job readiness. This research is an ex post facto research. The population of this research is all students of grade XII focus of expertise building construction technology, SMK N 3 yogyakarta that has completed Industrial Work Practice and has received the Career Guidance as many as 92 students. The survey technique used was determined by proportional random sampling as many as 74 respondents specified by Krejcie Morgan table. Data collection technique employed in this study was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and multiple regression. These results showed that (1) the implementation of Industrial Work Practices is in a good category with a mean of 75,1486 (76,50%), the implementation of Career Guidance is in an effective category with a mean of 46,4865 (67,80%), and the Job Readiness of students is in high category with a mean of 68,7072 (74,50%), (2) Industrial Work Practices has a significant role on Job Readiness with a value of tcount 4,652 > ttable 1,996 and significance 0,000 < 0,05, and the effect is 31,6%, (3) Career Guidance has not have a significant role on the Job Readiness with a value of tcount 1,793 < ttable 1,996 and significance 0,077 > 0,05, and the effect is 9,4%, (4) Industrial Work Practices and Career Guidance have a significant role on the Job Readiness with a value of Fcount 24,071 > Ftable 3,976, significance 0,000 < 0,05, and the effect is 41%.
