Abstract
This paper describes shortly the profile of civic education in the People Republic of China (PRC). Civic education (CE) in educational system of PRC has characteristics as moral education or political education or ideo-political education. CE explained as moral education as well as ideo-political education which implemented at school levels. Development of CE in PRC, historically, has been influenced by political system at country, especially Communist Party of China (CPC) since 1949. Entering the globalization era, CE within Moral Education subject gradually has changed toward citizenship education according to Kerr (1999) categorized.
