Abstract

This study aims to know the characteristics of learning media based educational games of computer (izahime) on the subject of building construction. This research is the development study of the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The population used is the class X Subject TGB in SMKN 2 Klaten, while the sample is determined by purposive sampling, it is the value of pretest each class and grade control experiment class. Data collection technique in this study using a multiple-choice test in the form of pre-test and post-test and using questionnaire of increase students motivation. The result development obtained learning media product consisting of eight main components. The result is obtain the value of mean pre-test of control experiment class is 49.06 and the value of mean post-test is 57.50, while the value of mean pre-test in experiment class is 50.88 and the value of mean post-test is 72.50. From the questionnaire of increased motivation before using media obtained score 59.90 and after using the media the score is in creasing until 80.48. Comparison the result of student learning using educational game media is greater than result of students learning using conventional method.
