Abstract

This study has an objective in figuring out the level of nutrition sufficiency andVo2max ability of the students in soccer school (SSB) Tlogoadiin the age group of 13-14 years old. This study was a correlation research. The method used in this research was a method of food consumption surveys and test measurements to determine the level of Vo2max ability. The population in this study was the students of soccer school (SSB) Tlogoadi in the age group of 13-14 years old. The sample of this study employed total sampling for about 22 kids. This study used questionnaire instrument readability and test measurements consisted of food record for 1 week and test measurements of Vo2max were done by using indirect measurement of workload running with a travel time of 1600 meters. The analysis technique was the product moment correlation. The results show that 3 kids or at 13.63% are in malnourished category and 19 kids or at 86.36% are in the category of severely malnourished. The results of VO2max level are 9 kids or at 40.9% belong to the good category, 2 kids or at 9.09% belong to the medium category and 11 kids or at 50% are in the very poor category. This study shows the coefficient of determination for Vo2max ability is influenced by nutritional sufficiency rate at 20.8%, while the remaining 79.2% is influenced by factors such as exercise (frequency of exercise), heredity (physiological), gender, age, body fat and activity. Keywords: level of nutrition sufficiency, Vo2max ability, SSB Tlogoadi
