Abstract
Classroom action research aims to: (1) knowing the increase in student achievement in the subject Engineering Drawing Problem Solving with learning methods; (2) knowing the use of learning methods used Problem Solving in Engineering Drawing subjects . This research is classroom action research using the spiral model of Kemmis and Taggart . The study was conducted in October 2013 to November 2013 at SMK 3 Yogyakarta . The subjects were 24 students of class XI TP 4 majors machining techniques . Data collection techniques used to study of test result and documentation. The data obtained from the assessment of the written test and the practical test image manually . The results of this action research are: ( 1 ) in the first cycle increased to 64 583 in the second cycle of 75.875 and 78.375 becomes the third cycle and increase scores on the KKM ie 18 students in the first cycle increased to 4 students in the second cycle and the cycle III students have successfully passed all the KKM; ( 2 ) use of learning method is Problem Solving: (a) identification problem by a student or group; (b) solving planning to be done by the student; (c) carry out the implementation issues that have been planned by the students; (d) students perform problem resolution supported by guidance and discussion then presented; (e) conduct a joint evaluation of the student learning outcomes and results to demonstrate the levels achieved by students .
